Then, you can sign up for a few different programs if you'd like and see which of them get you the most for what you need. Don't sign up for what won't help, like getting free clothing if you aren't really in need of that. You should save programs that you don't need for later in case you actually do need them at a later date since some government assistance is only usable once every year or two.

If you're going to take the money and just use it for stuff you don't need like to go to a movie and things like that, then don't get that kind of help.
